MetroWest Care Connection is grateful to everyone who joined us for the Downtown Framingham Resource Fair on September 29. The semi-annual event brought together more than 30 local organizations, businesses, and community partners to connect Framingham residents with information, services, and resources.
The Resource Fair provided an opportunity for community members to learn about available supports, ask questions, build connections, and access resources in a welcoming and supportive environment. From healthcare and food assistance to transportation, employment, behavioral health, recovery, and family support, participating organizations represent the many areas that contribute to the health and well-being of a community.
Supporting Health and Wellness
Health encompasses every part of our lives, and we were proud to welcome a diverse group of organizations focused on helping community members access the care and support they need. Partners provided information about health insurance, healthcare, food resources, transportation, aging services, independent living, domestic violence support, legal assistance, employment, education, and more.
We extend our sincere thanks to Latino Health Insurance Program, HealthCare For All, United HealthCare, Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center, Community Resource Initiative, SAFE Coalition, Callahan Center, Springwell, OUT MetroWest, Voices Against Violence, DIA Feliz, MetroWest Center for Independent Living, Department of Transitional Assistance, MetroWest Regional Transit Authority, United Way of Tri-County, MetroWest Food Collaborative, Project Bread, WIC, MetroWest Mediation, Mental Health Legal Advisors Committee, Framingham Community Justice Support Center, MassHire, MassBay Community College, and Women’s Money Matters.
Behavioral Health and Recovery Supports
Behavioral health and recovery are essential components of a healthy and connected community. We are grateful to the organizations that joined us to help community members learn more about mental health services, recovery resources, family supports, and other wellness opportunities.
Thank you to Spectrum Health Systems, Charlie Health, Spectrum Neuro Behavioral Care, Advocates, the Department of Mental Health, SMOC, Tempo Young Adult Resource Center, Wayside Youth & Family Support Network, and Anchored in Recovery for sharing their expertise and helping make support and recovery resources more accessible.
Winter Readiness for Our Community
One of the highlights of this year’s Resource Fair was the distribution of 100 Winter Readiness Bags. Thanks to the generosity of our community partners, bags filled with essential cold-weather items were distributed directly to community members as well as organizations serving individuals experiencing homelessness.
This effort reflects the power of community collaboration and the importance of making sure residents have access to practical resources, especially as the colder months approach.
Thank You to Our Sponsors
The Downtown Framingham Resource Fair would not be possible without the generous support of local businesses and organizations that invest in the Framingham community.
A special thank you to MetroWest Subaru and JFS of MetroWest for generously sponsoring lunch for community members. We are also grateful to Frescafe, Anastasia’s Pizza, Oven & Grill, Elegance Salon & Spa, Kacau, B Sisters Cafe, and Hope & Comfort for their support.
Your generosity helped create a welcoming event where community members could connect with resources, enjoy a meal, and build relationships with organizations serving the MetroWest community.
Building a Stronger, More Connected Community
The success of the Downtown Framingham Resource Fair is a reflection of what is possible when community organizations, businesses, volunteers, and residents come together with a shared commitment to supporting one another.
Thank you to every provider, sponsor, volunteer, community organization, and attendee who helped make this event a success. We are grateful for your partnership and for your continued investment in a stronger, healthier, and more connected MetroWest community.
