Support Advocacy Efforts

Strengthen and amplify advocacy initiatives to promote effective housing policies and solutions.

Centralize Funding Information

Provide centralized information about potential funding opportunities to support housing initiatives and projects.

Our Journey

In November 2023, MetroWest Care Connection received funding from the Community One Stop for Growth’s Urban Planning Agenda program to start the MetroWest Housing Coalition – a dynamic, cross-sector partnership of housing services providers, municipal departments, human service organizations, and other stakeholders. MWCC assists with convening and meeting facilitation, creating the space for cooperative, interdisciplinary work.

In our inaugural year, the MetroWest Housing Coalition focused on two projects:

Housing Toolkit Development: We created a comprehensive Housing Toolkit designed to equip MetroWest community members with valuable resources.

Community Listening Sessions: We conducted sessions to gather resident input around the current housing landscape in Framingham. The findings were shared with the City of Framingham to inform the development of the city’s Housing Production Plan.

With generous support from Massachusetts Community Health & Healthy Aging funds in July 2024, we are poised for continued impact over the next five years. This funding will enhance our Housing Toolkit, bolster our advocacy efforts, and increase resident engagement within the Coalition.
