Mark R. Haranas, president and CEO of MutualOne Bank and a MutualOne Charitable Foundation trustee, announced the Foundation has awarded $10,000 to Advocates in support of Behavioral Health Partners of MetroWest, a new partnership formed by Advocates, South Middlesex Opportunity Council, and Wayside Youth and Family Support Network.
According to Diane E. Gould, president and CEO of Advocates, Behavioral Health Partners of MetroWest will serve as a single point of entry into the full continuum of behavioral health and social services operated by the three Framingham-based nonprofit agencies.
“This new program, with its single point of entry, will make it easier for individuals and families in the MetroWest area to access the behavioral health and social services offered by the three agencies, and to coordinate their specific care needs,” said Haranas. “We are pleased to be able to help initiate this new program, and to support the goal of improved health outcomes for those in need of the services provided by these three agencies.”
The $10,000 grant to Advocates was among awards totaling $61,000 in the Foundation’s most recent round of funding.
Established in 1998 as the philanthropic arm of MutualOne Bank, the MutualOne Charitable Foundation has since donated over $3.7 million to charitable, educational, and civic initiatives that improve and enrich the quality of life in Framingham, Natick, and surrounding communities.
