WAYSIDE

Eligibility: Young adults between the ages of 16–25. TEMPO is a drop-in resource center that provides and coordinates services in employment, housing, legal, educational, benefit assistance, mental health care, and more.

Eligibility: For adolescents between the ages of 12–18 years of age who are homeless. Wayside can provide shelter for up to 21 days while a case manager coordinates longer term services, family reunification, and educational planning. Emergency referrals accepted 24/7.

Eligibility: A Resource Center for families, parents, or any caregivers who have a child age birth to 18 years of age. FRC staff can help with facilitating housing support, emergency food assistance, utility assistance, legal help, parenting support, mental health services, educational liaison support (special education), and emergency response services.

ADVOCATES

The Living Room is open 24/7. It is designed for up to five people to spend the night, but no one will be turned away in the cold even if technically over capacity. Blankets and pillows are available in case there are extra guests during cold spells.

There is no smoking on the property and the program currently supports individuals over the age of 18. However, flexibility may occur depending on the level of need and other available community resources.

6-bed short term crisis unit located at the CBHC
1094 Worcester Road, Framingham

Contact Information:

All individuals admitted to the CCS unit first need to be evaluated by the Advocates Mobile Crisis Intervention Team (MCI).

An MCI evaluation will determine if CCS is the appropriate level of care. If not appropriate for CCS, MCI will determine what other mental health and/or substance abuse treatment is most appropriate.

Criteria:

Individuals experiencing a mental health crisis and/or needing 24/7 staff support are eligible for CCS admission.

This is a voluntary unit and individuals must consent to treatment.

Individuals at moderate to high risk of substance withdrawal will likely need to be monitored in a medical setting (detox facility) before admission to the CCS unit.

Individuals admitted engage in both individual and group treatment and can see a prescriber for psychiatric medications.

Individuals are connected with treatment providers and community resources prior to discharge.

  • Staffed 24/7 with clinical staff, part-time nursing, peer specialists, and direct care staff
  • 10 mobile-based services to support individuals living in their own homes or shelters in the community

Services include:

  • Crisis support
  • Medication administration
  • Psychiatry support
  • Connection to community resources including outpatient providers, medical providers, substance use recovery support, housing, food, disability applications
  • Assessment for additional needs such as ability to safely live independently

Individuals must already be deemed eligible and receiving services from DMH. All referrals must come through the Westborough DMH office.

Location:
9 Spring Road, Westborough

Provides Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, and Deaf-Blind adults experiencing psychiatric crises with access to community-based 30-day residential and mobile support to help them recover and transition back to community living.

All aspects of the program are designed to meet the cultural, communication, and therapeutic needs of Deaf individuals.
