Our work would not be possible without the combined strengths and dedication of four leading social services and behavioral health agencies serving the Greater MetroWest region of Massachusetts. Together, our partners use their expertise in mental health, substance use and addiction, housing, and social supports to ensure our communities have what they need to thrive.
Core Agencies
Advocates partners with people navigating life challenges such as addiction, autism, brain injury, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and mental health. Advocates listens first, then, together, shapes creative solutions that help people thrive by supporting growth, learning, and connections to the community. Services include day programs, employment services, family supports, outpatient clinics, residential services, and psychiatric emergency services. In July 2024, Advocates, HMEA, and Family Continuity (a former affiliated partner of the Behavioral Health Community Partner Program) merged to become a single unified organization, creating one of the most comprehensive human service providers in New England, serving more than 40,000 individuals and families across Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC)
South Middlesex Opportunity Council’s (SMOC) is a multi-service umbrella organization that works in the community to provide opportunities to enhance self-sufficiency. SMOC’s mission is to improve the quality of life of low-income and disadvantaged individuals and families by advocating for their needs and rights; providing services; educating the community; building a community of support; participating in coalitions with other advocates and searching for new resources and partnerships.
Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals impacted by addiction and/or mental health disorders. Spectrum’s mission is to provide the highest quality of services to individuals seeking treatment for substance abuse and/or mental health issues. We assist our clients in achieving sobriety, sustaining recovery, and fulfilling personal goals in order that they may lead healthier, more productive lives.
